[Avionics Today May 28, 2014] Alenia Aermacchi’s C-27J Spartan military transport aircraft has been approved by the European Aviation Safety Agency for installation of the Navaero t-Bag C2 Class 2 Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) system.

According to Navaero, this is the first Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) issued on the t-Bag C2 Class 2 EFB for an all-military aircraft.

“This unique certification clearly demonstrates the robustness of our EFB hardware and its capabilities to meet demanding specification requirements," said Simone Giordano, group president of Navaero.
