navAero received EASA supplemental type certification (STC) for its tBag C22 Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) for BAE 146 /AVRO 146-RJ Series aircraft on behalf of Swedish regional airline Malmo Aviation.

The deployed EFB system architecture consists of cross-connected dual tBagC22 EFB systems with the tPad series displays. The systems also feature navAero-designed, UMTS/HSDPA – 3G cellular modem for on-ground data transfer.

“This achievement shows that our tï‚–BagC22 Electronic Flight Bag system meets all the European regulatory requirements to be a highly integrated part of a modern airline, providing end-to-end connectivity from aircraft to operations," said Knut Aabo, navAero vice president sales and marketing.

The certification activities were performed in cooperation with Scandinavian Avionics A/S. Aircraft installations are currently in-progress and installation kits are available for immediate delivery, navAero said.
