Airborne Maintenance & Engineering Services, of Wilmington, Ohio, outfitted a DC-9 cockpit with systems from Universal Avionics Systems, of Tucson, Ariz., including four EFI-890R flat panel integrated, high-definition flight deck displays, two UNS-1Fw Flight Management Systems (FMS), two Radio Control Units (RCU) and two Application Server Units (ASU).

“The Universal cockpit upgrade provides advanced capability that our customers will find beneficial for the life of the aircraft,” said Scott Campbell, director of Airline and Military Marketing at Universal Avionics.
