Air Canada became the latest North American airline to announce plans to offer Aircell’s in-flight mobile broadband service. The agreement, announced at this week’s World Airline Entertainment Association convention, will make Aircell’s Gogo service available to passengers on its Airbus A319 aircraft that fly across the border into the United States. The airline expects to begin its initial deployment by spring 2009. American Airlines launched the service in August and Delta Airlines announced plans to outfit its fleet with the service by 2009.
