Eclipse Aviation received FAA certification for its Weather Radar System, a color radar designed by Eclipse and Japan Radio Co., Ltd. (JRC). JRC, Eclipse said, will manufacture and supply all radar components for the Eclipse 500 Very Light Jet. Eclipse, based in Albuquerque, N.M., said the certification occurred simultaneously with the incorporation of the radar on the Eclipse 500 production lines. The Eclipse Aviation Weather Radar System provides tactical radar information on the Eclipse 500’s primary flight displays and integrates seamlessly with Avio NG avionics system.
