Air China received approval to conduct required navigation performance (RNP) operations with its Airbus A319 fleet. Naverus, which manufactured the system, said last week an Air China A319 departed Lhasa, China, using Naverus RNP procedures making it the world’s first Airbus to use RNP in revenue service. This marks the second aircraft type approved by the Civil Aviation Administration of China for RNP operations.
