As an aviation professional trying to maintain your bottom line and manage your career, what can you expect from the aircraft OEMs in 2008 – and beyond? As aircraft capabilities become more sophisticated, what new opportunities await your business? This webinar will provide the answers you need to accurately plan ahead.

Aviation is in the midst of enormous prosperity, despite the global recession and stratospheric oil prices. Much of this growth is due to historic innovation in fixed-wing aircraft design and manufacturing. New aircraft technologies continue to roll off the assembly line, transforming the way people fly and transport goods.

A confluence of market demands is generating exciting opportunities for new fixed-wing aircraft around the globe, such as Very Light Jets (VLJs), a new breed of transport that promises to revolutionize travel.

Also in the vanguard of aviation manufacturing technology are composite aircraft. The use of these miracle materials is sweeping all sectors of aviation, but the industry is still struggling with how composites will change conventional ways of flying and doing business.

This webinar will be of great interest for anyone in the aviation industry who’s involved in airframe manufacturing, Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO), airline operations – you name it. Aviation executives, engineers, mechanics, pilots, consultants, regulators, and other decision-makers of all types will want access to the up-to-date information and incisive analysis that this webinar will convey.

You’ll hear from noted experts in the field. You’ll also be able to pose questions to these speakers during the webinar, in real time, by emailing the moderator from your computer.

In this timely and informative webinar, you’ll learn:

  • What do continued delays of Boeing’s hugely popular Dreamliner 787 mean for aircraft competition? Will production problems with the Dreamliner cause Boeing to lose its newfound advantage over Airbus?

  • What’s the status of the various new aircraft offerings from Airbus? Has this Franco-German behemoth finally righted itself? Or is Boeing’s rival still far behind?

  • What have the major airframers learned lately, in terms of production techniques? What hard lessons has Boeing learned from its global supply chain problems with the Dreamliner – and how can other companies put those lessons to good use?

  • How are composites transforming traditional manufacturing? What do OEMs need to accomplish, to get ready for this brave new world of aircraft construction? What can they learn from successful early adopters, such as Boeing?

  • What are the hot business jet models right now, from Bombardier, Embraer, and other manufacturers?

  • How will expected trends in the broader economy affect the introduction of new aircraft? What role does the high price of oil play in all of this?

  • What are the macroeconomic aviation trends propelling the introduction of certain types of aircraft?

  • Will the recent wave of small airline bankruptcies affect the development of new aircraft? As the economy slows and consumer confidence plunges, are the good times in aviation coming to an end? Will manufacturing innovation suffer?

  • How significant is the introduction of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ Regional Jet, the MRJ? Is this next-generation regional jetliner a harbinger of Asia’s rise as an aircraft manufacturing power?

  • How is the movement toward “green aviation” affecting the design and manufacture of new aircraft? Which new aircraft are predicated on the green imperative?

  • How are new operational and regulatory mandates affecting the conception of new aircraft?

  • Which manufacturers are poised to gain market share – and which ones are destined to lose it?

…and more!
