Eclipse Shaves Workforce
Eclipse Aviation shaved its workforce by 190 after letting go temporary workers hired when it was adapting to production fluctuations. The company is now trying to reduce expenses and make the company financially stronger now that it has a new capital infusion. Related Story After it announced the layoffs it said it would make no further comment nor do any interviews preferring not to address the dozens of rumors circulating about the company.
Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association also reported last week that all customers with outstanding requests for refunds will get them by the end of the year as the company awaits the completion of its new funding deal. Refunds will include interest. The company is also continuing with modifications related to flight into known icing conditions although other modifications to jets already delivered are currently on hold pending more funding availability.
