Britain’s
Royal Aeronautical Society is hosting a Very Light Jet conference this week – March 26 and 27 in London. The conference will focus on the advent of Very Light Jet operations in Europe. The growth of the corporate, air taxi and private sectors poses more complex issues for Europe than in the U.S., where the first VLJ Air Operator’s Certificate has recently been awarded, said RAS in its announcement. “Existing VLJ orders currently exceed 2,500 units, with purchasers ranging from private citizens to well known corporate bodies and air taxi operators,” said RAS, adding the conference provides a unique opportunity for delegates to discuss the issues and to influence the work required to resolve them. “The wide-ranging papers, some of which will be novel and contentious, will be presented by leading experts in their fields.”
