Embraer’s new Executive Jets Center at Le Bourget Airport, France, received the
European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part 145 Approval Certificate to operate in Europe, reported
Aviation Maintenance magazine, a sister publication to
Regional Aviation News. The facility is dedicated exclusively to the Embraer Executive Jets fleet, and joins the existing service center network that includes
OGMA in Portugal, and another four Embraer authorized service centers in the region. They offer maintenance for the Legacy 600 and will support the Phenom 100 and 300 programs, as they enter operation in 2008 and 2009, respectively.
Embraer refurbished its Le Bourget facility in the spare parts inventory and in ground support equipment, in order to offer specialized executive jets support and maintenance. The new service center will provide routine checks, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and will be prepared to deploy rescue teams throughout Europe in support of Legacy 600 operations, as well as to Phenoms. Located at one of the busiest airports in Europe, 20 minutes from downtown Paris, the Le Bourget service center has a total area of 37,674 square feet and Embraer’s new service center in Le Bourget has a 20,451-square-foot hangar.
