Green Skies Conference set for May
Green Skies Conference & Exhibition will occur May 21-23 at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando, bringing aviation together on a large scale for the first time in North America to discuss aviation environmental issues.
The theme of this year's conference is "Proud to be Green." The event will showcase some of the green developments within North American aviation, with perspectives from around the world. In attendance will be environmental companies, airlines, airports, aircraft manufacturers, maintenance companies, suppliers, government agencies and industry organizations.
The goal of the conference is to promote a dialog among all the stakeholders across the industry that leads to better environmental efforts, and also to prove that there are real savings to be made from embracing these principles.
"There is an enormous interest in this event, and it's coming from all corners of aviation," said
Green Skies CEO Michael Miller.
Green Skies has put forward a voluntary Green Skies Pledge (www.greenskies.com) to encourage companies to adopt more extensive environmental guidelines. The pledge is a 15-point list of broad environmental statements that help companies and organizations determine which green approaches make sense.
Green Skies Inc. is an aviation consulting and conference management company based in Orlando, Fla., which hosts this yearly event and also offers environmental consulting services to the aviation industry.
