Department of Defense reports the additional F-16s will increase both nations' interoperability and enhance their ability to perform joint operations. The Block 60 F-16, also known as the Desert Falcon, was designed specifically for the UAE Air Force. The nation took delivery of 80 F-16s between 2005 and 2010.
