Turkish Airlines Selects GE Engines for Airbus, Boeing Planes
Turkish Airlines recently announced an order for 15 GE90-115B-powered Boeing 777-300ERs, and selected GE’s CF6-80E1 engines to power its fleet of 15 firm ordered Airbus A330-300s.
Delivery of the A330s are expected to begin next year, with the Boeing aircraft deliveries expected to begin in 2014.
The combined total value of the two engine orders is valued at about $2.4 billion.
The airline also signed a 12-year agreement with GE Aviation to provide MRO services for its CF6-80E1 engines.
