Swedish-Arab Joint Venture to Provide Air Navigation Services for Abu Dhabi

Sweden’s state-run civil and military air traffic control provider LFV and United Arab Emirates (UAE)-based aerospace services company Global Aerospace Logistics (GAL) signed a five-year agreement to provide civil air navigation services at airports operated by Abu Dhabi Airports Co. (ADAC).

The $147 million joint venture agreement calls for LFV to provide air traffic management and GAL to provide operations services at ADAC’s five airports located in UAE. GAL and LFV signed an agreement in 2010 to provide a platform for selling consulting and civil air navigation services in the region.

“GAL and LFV are pleased to announce that we have been selected as the new air navigation services provider by ADAC a major airport operator in the Middle East. This shows significant confidence in the partnership GAL and LFV have established in order to deliver world class air navigation services,” said Lars Håkansson, CEO of LFV Aviation Consulting AB and Hassan Yousef, CEO of GAL in a joint statement.
