The flight was launched from Toulouse-Blagnac Airport France by a team of Airbus test pilots, Frank Chapman and Thierry Bourges along with three flight test engineers onboard that monitored the progress of the flight profile.
The second flight follows the first A350 XWB test aircraft's flight which occurred in June. To date, that aircraft has flown 330 flight test hours on nearly 70 flights, according to airbus.

Entry into service  for the A350 XWB is still planned for the second half of 2014 with launch customer Qatar Airways.
