SESAR’s Patrick Ky Appointed Director of EASA
Single European Sky ATM Research (SESAR) Executive Director Patrick Ky has been selected as the new director of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
Ky led the SESAR program through its development phase, originally joining in 2004 prior to becoming executive director in 2007. He also serves as the SESAR program liaison on the RTCA NextGen Advisory Committee in the United States.
Ky will take over for current EASA Director Patrick Goudou, whose term ends Aug. 31.
“It has been a privilege to lead SESAR’s incredibly talented people through times of great challenge and great opportunity,” said Ky. “I look forward to continuing to collaborate with SESAR in my new position – which, after all shares a common objective.”
