Rolls-Royce to Provide Naval Aircraft Engine Repair

The U.S. Navy issued a $35 million contract extension to Rolls-Royce to perform depot-level repair and overhaul for its T56 engines. 
Rolls-Royce will perform repair and overhaul for T-56 III engines on fielded P-3 and derivative aircraft, as well T56 engines for C-130s and C-2s. According to Rolls-Royce, the contract adds a new option year for a "long term contract." 

The repairs will be performed at Rolls-Royce's engine services facility in Oakland, Calif.
