Rolls Royce Wins $496 Million for U.S. T56 Support

The Defense Logistic Agency (DLA) has issued a six-year, $406 million contract to Rolls-Royce to provide parts and engineering support for about 1,000 in-service C-130s, P-3s and C-2s powered by T56 engines.
 
DLA's award will provide support for aircraft operated by the U.S. Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard and Customs and BOrder Control, as well as international fleets powered by T56 engines. 
 

Additionally, the Navy issued a separate $90 million contract for engine repairs in support of its T56-A-427-powered fleet of E-2 Hawkeye aircraft.
