Pegasus Airlines Orders up to 100 Airbus A320neos

Turkish carrier Pegasus Airlines placed a firm $7.5 billion order for 75 A320neo aircraft, with options for an additional 25 aircraft. The order includes 58 A320neos and 17 A321neo jets. If the additional options are exercised, the deal for all 100 aircraft would increase to about $10 billion.

Pegasus selected the A320neo family aircraft for its fuel efficiency, as the carrier looks to expand its network to more destinations in Turkey, Europe and the Middle East.

“It is with great pride that we are placing the biggest order in the history of Turkish civil aviation with Airbus for up to 100 A320neo Family aircraft,” said Ali Sabanci, chairman of Pegasus Airlines.

The Pegasus order comes following another recent major order for A320 aircraft from AirAsia. More
