Paris: Oman Air Orders Five Boeing 737s

Oman Air placed a $473 million order for five Boeing 737-900ERs on Wednesday at the Paris Air Show.
According to Boeing, Oman is the first Arabian Gulf region carrier to order the 737-900ER, the largest variant of the manufacturer's current generation 737 family aircraft.
"These Next-Generation 737s will play a key role in supporting our efforts to strengthen and expand our network and boost tourism and business travel into Oman," said Wayne Pearce, chief executive officer, Oman Air.
The new order brings Oman's backlog to six 737-800s, five 737-900ERs and six Boeing 787-8s.
