NAC Orders Q400s for airBaltic

Bombardier received a $134.7 million order from Danish aircraft leasing firm Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) to acquire four Q400 Nextgen aircraft.

The Q400s will be operated by Riga, Latvia-based carrier airBaltic, joining eight Q400s previously ordered by the airline as it transitions to an all-Bombardier fleet.

“We look forward to increased activity involving the aircraft leasing community as we strive to help our customers meet their business goals in a challenging economic environment,” said Mike Arcamone, president of commercial aircraft at Bombardier.

The Q400s will replace older generation turboprop aircraft currently featured in the airBaltic fleet. The airline also placed a firm order for up to 20 CS300 aircraft in December. More
