Middle East Airlines Firms Airbus A320neo Order
Lebanon state-run carrier Middle East Airlines (MEA) placed a firm $1 billion order for five A321neo and five A320neo aircraft.

The airline signed a memorandum of understanding for the order in July, and will announce its engine choice at a later date, Airbus said.
“An aircraft offering fuel burn saving, high reliability as well as a modern and comfortable cabin is a sound investment in anyone’s books,” said Mohamad El Hout, chairman-director general of MEA.
MEA currently operates an all-Airbus fleet with four A330-200s, four A321s and ten A320s. More
