Lufthansa Consulting Leads Air Astana Expansion Plan

Kazakhstan national carrier Air Astana selected Lufthansa Consulting to assist with its network and fleet expansion plan, in an effort to keep pace with the continued increase in passenger air traffic in Central Asia.

Lufthansa developed a five-year expansion plan, aimed at expanding the airline’s network to more destinations Central Asia and Russia, the company said.

Air Astana recently added its sixth Embraer 190 jet to its fleet, and expects to add another 10 aircraft to its fleet in 2013.
