Hawker Beechcraft Opens Service Center in Mexico
Hawker Beechcraft opened a new factory service center at Aeropuerto Internacional del Norte in Monterrey, Mexico.
The new center will offer maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services of airframes, powerplants and avionics systems.
The 48,000-square-foot facility is the second MRO center in Mexico for the Wichita, Kan.-based manufacturer; the other facility is located in Toluca at Licenciado Adolfo Lopez Mateos International Airport.
"Expanded capabilities and additional service locations are essential to supporting the current Hawker and Beechcraft fleet, as well as the delivery trends we are forecasting in Mexico and Central America," said Christi Tannahill, senior vice president, global customer support at HBS. "Our Monterrey facility offers the first dedicated paint facility in Mexico for general aviation and is a great option for owners looking to update and refurbish their aircraft. With this newest location, HBS hangar space now surpasses 600,000 square feet (55,750 square meters) worldwide."
