Delta Approved for Aircraft Engine Maintenance in Japan

Delta Air Lines' maintenance division can begin performing maintenance and repair on aircraft engines in Japan, after receiving an Approved Organization Exposition (AOE) certificate from the Japanese Civil Aviation Bureau.

The Delta TechOps team has been cleared to work on turbine engines, initially the CGM56 family, as well as components on the Boeing 737 NG.

In addition to Japan, Delta has maintenance approval from aviation authorities in Canada, China, Indonesia, Korea and Brazil among other nations.
