A customer in Bangalore is awaiting delivery of the 2000S, which features EASy II avionics and has a range of 3,250 nautical miles. According to Dassault, the jet is suitable for runways in India, which is known for its shortage of general aviation (GA) airports.
For example, Kullu Manali, a GA airport located near the Beas River, has a short runway of just 3,690 feet. The 2000S requires just 2,315 feet of runway.
"The exceptional short-field capability of the 2000S - particularly its hot-and-high performance and its ability to operate at London City Airport - combined with its spacious well-appointed cabin, make it ideal for the Indian market," said Gilles Gautier, vice president of Falcon sales at EMEA. "We expect the 2000S - and its longer-range cousin, the Falcon 2000LXS, also certified in early 2013 - to sell very well in India."
