Crane to Provide Transmitters for Snecma Silvercrest Engines Program

France-based aircraft engine manufacturer Snecma has selected Lynwood, Wash.-based Crane Aerospace & Electronics to provide fuel flow transmitters for its Silvercrest engine program.

Snecma is developing its Silvercrest family of engines for super-midsize to large business jets, with a scheduled entry into service in 2014.
The fuel flow transmitters measure fuel flow rate in mass, n4ot volume, Crane said.

“We are proud of the fact that Snecma selected Crane’s fuel flow meter for their first business jet program,” said John J. Higgs, vice president of fluid management systems for Crane Aerospace & Electronics. More
