Cessna Rolls Out First Production CJ3+
[Aviation Today May 29, 2014] Cessna has announced the rollout of its first production Citation CJ3+ business jet.
The upgraded Citation jet was first announced in March, with a range of 2,070 nautical miles, a nearly 300-mile increase over the CJ2+. The Textron Aviation subsidiary also redesigned the cockpit with the Garmin G3000 avionics suite and the cabin with an Iridium phone and wireless media server.
“Today’s rollout occurred just two months after the announcement of the new CJ3+," said Chris Hearne, vice president of jets at Cessna. “We are eager to get the CJ3+ into the hands of customers later this year where they will benefit from the upgraded Garmin G3000 flight deck."
The CJ3+ is expected to on track to receive FAA certification later this year, according to Cessna.
