Canadian flight training provider CAE on Saturday, Nov. 23 inaugurated its new pilot training facility in Greater Noida, India.
The $25 million CAE Simulation Training Private Limited (CSTPL) facility, jointly established by CAE and InterGlobe Enterprises, has six simulator bays with the capacity to train over 5,000 pilots per year. During the inauguration ceremony, CAE and Interglobe announced a long-term pilot training agreement with low-fare Indian carrier Go Air.
"This new facility will not only better serve the rapidly growing aviation market in the region, but also provide our customers with the flexibility and proximity they want as well as the highest fidelity and reliability for their training programs," said Marc Parent, president and CEO of CAE.
CSTPL began operations in August and currently provides training for IndiGo pilots.
