CAE, APS to Provide In-Flight UPRT Training
CAE and Aviation Performance Solutions (APS) have extended their partnership to provide in-flight upset prevention and recovery training (UPRT) to CAE Oxford Aviation Academy flight instructors and student cadets.
CAE said its UPRT program teaches pilots how to recognize and effectively recover from stalls, aircraft upsets and other unusual attitude situations that can occur while flying.
The two companies will begin providing UPRT training at CAE Oxford Aviation Academy ab initio flight school locations worldwide based on market conditions.
"The program CAE and APS are delivering to cadets and flight instructors is a proven approach to reducing the potential threat of loss of control in-flight," said Jeff Roberts, group president, civil simulation products, training and services at CAE. "Graduates will not only understand the theoretical concepts of stalls and loss of control, they will develop confidence through the practical experience of recovering their aircraft safely."
