Boeing Reports 2Q Aircraft Delivery Increase

[Aviation Today July 3, 2014] Boeing has reported 181 total commercial aircraft deliveries for the second quarter of 2014, a 7 percent increase over the same period a year ago. 

Leading the way for Boeing is the 737, which continues to be the U.S.-based airframe manufacturer's best selling aircraft. During the second quarter, Boeing delivered 124 total 737s and 30 of its 787 Dreamliner aircraft. 
 
Through the first half of the year, Boeing has completed 342 total deliveries, up from 306 during the same period in 2013. 
 

Other second quarter highlights for Boeing included the beginning of ground testing for the 737 MAX LEAP-1B engine and the first delivery of the 787-9 to Air New Zealand.
