Boeing Relocates Flight Training to Miami
Boeing announced Friday it will relocate all flight training services to its commercial aviation training campus in Miami. The consolidation will move all full-flight simulators from Seattle to Miami, as the company looks to establish the Florida facility as its pro forma flight training location in the United States.
Boeing officials said Miami is a preferred training location for its customers based in the U.S., Latin America and Europe. The move will also allow the company to meet increased demand for its products and support an increased rate of airplane deliveries.
"If we are going to better serve our customers and meet training commitments and airplane deliveries as we ramp up on rate, the time to do this is now,” said Sherry Carbary, vice president of flight services, commercial aviation services at Boeing.
The relocation to Miami will begin immediately, starting with two 787 training suites. More
