Bell Helicopter’s local representative Hawker Pacific took a Bell 505 Jet Ranger X mock-up to the show in what was the type’s first appearance in the country.
The Bell 505 redefines the short light single product class with its advanced technology, unparalleled levels of comfort and multi-mission capabilities, according to Hawker Pacific.
It features a Garmin G1000H cockpit, five forward-facing seats, 75/25 split clamshell doors for easy access and receives powered from Turbomeca’s Arrius 2R engine.
“We are very excited to introduce the all-new, next generation Bell 505 Jet Ranger X to the Australian market. The aircraft boasts unique multi-mission capabilities and best-in-class cabin volume previously unseen in the short light single class,” said Tony Jones, Hawker Pacific’s chief operating officer for Asia.
Meanwhile, Australian Aerospace, the local subsidiary for Airbus Helicopters, was at the show in force, with six helicopters on display, including the new T2 variant of the EC130 and an AS350B3 Squirrel.
