Aviation Capital Services to Order 35 Boeing 737 MAX Planes
Boeing announced a commitment from Aviation Capital Services to purchase 35 of its 737 MAX airplanes, an order worth more than $3 billion.
The State Corporation Russian Technologies (Rostech) aircraft leasing subsidiary said the 737 MAX was selected to provide Russian carriers with improved fuel efficiency on a modern aircraft.
"This is the first commitment for the 737 MAX from Russia and CIS, which is one of the commercial aviation industry's fastest-growing regions," said Boeing Commercial Airplanes President and CEO Ray Conner.
Boeing introduced a business jet variant of its 737 MAX commercial airliner at the 2012 NBAA conference on Monday.
