Avianca Holdings Reports Traffic, Demand Increase
[Aviation Today January 24, 2014] Avianca Holdings reported an increase in air traffic of 7.3 percent and an increase in passengers carried for 2013 by 6.6 percent to 24,625,062, compared to the previous year.
Between January and December 2013, Avianca's subsidiary airlines, Colombia's Avianca and El Salvador's TACA carried 14,292,302 passengers within its domestic markets of Colombia, Peru and Ecuador, a 7.8 percent increase compared to 2012.
During the holiday travel period from Dec. 13 through Jan. 12, passengers carried cost to a record 1.5 million.
