American took delivery of a new A319, the first aircraft of that type to feature the Sharklet wing tip devices. The A319 is the first of 260 single aisle aircraft that American has on order with Airbus.

SAA took delivery of its first two A320s on Tuesday, part of a 20 aircraft order placed with Airbus in 2010. The South African carrier is looking to use the A320s to replace its current fleet of Boeing 737-800s.
