The engines will reduce fuel burn by up to 25 percent over previous generation long-range twin-engine Airbus aircraft, the company said.

Airbus has scheduled entry into service for the A350 for the second half of 2014, with launch customer Qatar Airways. Worldwide, 34 customers have ordered 616 aircraft from the A350 family.
