ATS Expands to Kansas
Aviation Technical Services (ATS) has reached an agreement with the Kansas City, Miss. Aviation Dept. to expand its Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) operations to a new location at the Kansas City International Airport.
The Everett, Wash.-based company plans to invest $7 million in tooling and equipment at the 607,000-square-foot facility. ATS will use the new location to offer MRO services with capacity for up to 11 narrow-body aircraft at once.
"This is yet another step to secure ATS’ future and ensures long-term stability for our customers, employees and company. Expanding to Kansas City in the KCI Overhaul Base allows us to meet existing customer requirements and adds to our platform from which to grow and diversify our service offerings over time," said Matt Yerbic, chief executive of ATS.
