ATR Reports Aircraft Turnover, Delivery Milestones in 2012

ATR on Wednesday reported $1.4 billion in turnover and 64 deliveries for 2012, two milestones for the French-Italian turboprop aircraft manufacturer. The company also reported the sale of 115 aircraft last year, and a backlog of 221 aircraft valued at more than $5 billion, giving it the largest backlog among manufacturers of aircraft up to 90 seats.

2012 was also a year of firsts for ATR, as the company obtained EASA certification for its 42-600 aircraft and also delivered its aircraft to an Austrian airline (InterSky).

“Once again, this year, the latest generation ATRs received the top evaluation ratings, not only from the regional operators, but also the investors. The popularity of ATRs with leasing companies is a further illustration of this. This collaboration has enabled us to penetrate strategic markets such as Japan, with the regional carrier Link, where ATRs have an outstanding potential,” said Filippo Bagnato, CEO of ATR. More
