The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) on Tuesday named Mark Baker as its new president and CEO, becoming the fifth president in the organization's 75-year history.

Baker will replace Craig Fuller, who announced his retirement earlier this year. The Minnesota native has been an AOPA member since 1987 and has held senior executive positions at Scotts Miracle-Gro Co., Gander Mountain Co. and The Home Depot.
Bill Trimble, chairman of AOPA's board of trustees, said Baker will focus on "expanding the pilot population" after a recent trend of declining membership for AOPA.
