Shinichiro Ito, president and CEO of ANA Holdings, said the airline is looking to use the new 777s to help with the expansion of its airport slots in Tokyo. Once delivered, ANA will have 57 total 777s within its commercial aircraft fleet.
The 777-300ER comes equipped with GE90-115B jet engines and seats up to 386 passengers. ANA, the launch customer for the 787 Dreamliner, recently stated that the problems with the flagship aircraft did not sour its relationship with the airframe manufacturer.
Boeing is currently working on an upgraded model of its 777 with a fuselage stretch and revised interior, the 777X.
