BHS Opts for Elite

The Brazilian Helicopter Service (BHS) performs a lot of offshore petroleum trips and has selected an Elite S623 simulator to both train its pilots and offer them currency training. The S623 is manufactured by Zurich-based Elite Simulator Solutions and has a custom designed layout that will be featured in all future orders from BHS’ parent organization, CHC Global Group. The system incorporates a Garmin GN530 GPS system and an external five-channel visual system with 52” LCD screens. Three screens are mounted for forward view and the other is housed in the bottom right side chin bubble of the device to allow downward view for better ground reference. The BHS device also features full coverage Brazil GenView visual software, NAV data including that for BHS’s helipads and Bendix King EFS40/50 EFIS instrumentation replication. For related news
