Military Helicopters Train for Disaster Response

U.S. Army and Navy pilots practiced “touch and go” landings using Bell UH-1 Hueys and Sikorsky Black Hawks during an April 27–29 medevac training exercise in Arizona. Held at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center's Level I Trauma Center, the exercise involved preparations for a larger disaster response drill to be held in October. The upcoming event will include military rescue operations, rapid triage and treatment.
