Era Helicopters Receives Louisiana Grant

Era Helicopters, Lake Charles, La. has received a $2.1 million Rapid Response Fund grant from Louisiana to provide a state-of-the-art training facility near Era’s base on the Lake Charles Regional Airport property. The fund is designed to spur economic development projects that would prove beneficial to the state. Era’s 7,694 sqft facility at the airport will be used for training and professional development. Era has committed more than $3.9 million to the project including construction of a training facility, administration building, aircraft hangar and the latest technology training simulators.
