Bell Retirees Among FAA Master Award Recipients

Two retired Bell Helicopter employees have been honored with FAA Wright Brothers Master Pilot awards, which recognize pilots who have demonstrated professionalism, skill and aviation expertise by maintaining safe flight operations for at least 50 years.

Dwayne Williams retired from Bell in 2005 as chief pilot of its training academy. He made the first flights on helicopters such as the Model 400, 206L-3, 230, Huey II, 407 Fantail Tail Rotor and the Bell-Agusta 609 Commercial Tilt Rotor.

Wayne Brown retired in 2008 as assistant chief flight instructor. He acquired about 14,500 flight hr and is experienced in FAA part 131, 135 and 141 operations.
