U.S. Sends Four Sea Kings to Help Argentina

Pursuant to the loss of three Sikorsky SH-3 Sea King helicopters to a fire aboard an Argentine icebreaker in 2007, the U.S. Navy has delivered a pair of its own SH-3Hs to the South American republic as replacements. The two recently retired aircraft were refurbished and are now in service with the Argentine navy. Four additional retired Sea Kings were located at the Aerospace Maintenance Regeneration Group (more commonly known as "The Boneyard") at Davis-Monthan AFB in Ariz. Two of those will also be refurbished and delivered as soon as they are airworthy.  The remaining two will be sent along as sources for spare parts. For related news
