Police Arrest Man After Laser Pointing

Authorities in Canada have taken a 25-year-old man into custody after he allegedly pointed a laser at a Durham Regional Police helicopter on three separate occasions. According to police, the Clarington man shined the laser at the helicopter on the nights of Nov. 10 and 25, but the source could not be determined. When the incident occurred again on Dec. 2, police were able to identify the man as Gerald Cote. He faces up to five years in prison and a maximum fine of $100,000.
