Kansas Town Scotches Plans for Second P.D. Helo

A second new Topeka Police Dept. helicopter will not fly, reports ABC News in that Kansas city. The Topeka City Council July 24 failed to override Mayor Bill Bunten’s decision not to purchase the Robinson R44 as a replacement for an aging Bell Helicopter OH-58C that police say is too expensive to maintain.
