Indian Navy is Going to Market

The Indian Navy is putting out feelers for 16 heavy-duty helicopters with the probability of buying another 44. The rotorcraft will be able to carry 15 soldiers, be armed with cruise missiles and torpedoes and contain the most sophisticated avionics. So far it seems that Sikorsky and EADS, among others, are interested. This purchase is only one measure India is using to upgrade its fleet. For related news
