Illinois City Weighs Shared Police Helo

Members of the city council of Rockford, Ill. are debating whether or not to authorize $100,000 to fund a helicopter service that local law-enforcement agencies could share. The money would be used to refurbish and equip old U.S. military helicopters that could be used during search-and-rescue missions and other law enforcement pursuits.
